Joshua Thelin

Director of Production

Between his start in film festivals in his hometown of Salt Lake City and his early life on the road as a touring musician in dive bars across the country, Josh has the perfect foundation to make the link between live performance, produced events, quality sound, and outstanding video. After landing in Austin, Josh saw a gap in the market for an a/v company that provides quality video in a live setting with flexibility and scalability—and without needing to bill clients for large overhead expenses. His live performance experience is a natural bridge to creating experiential outreach events that engage people in a meaningful way for his clients’ campaigns.

Working closely as a contractor to multiple ad agencies, Josh produces events for state and regional government agencies including Texas Department of Transportation, Montgomery County Department of Transportation, Baltimore City Department of Transportation, Maryland Highway Safety Office/MDOT, Virginia DMV/VDOT and District Department of Transportation. His events have engaged hundreds of thousands of people in important safety messaging from pedestrian/bicycle safety and air quality campaigns to Look Twice for Motorcycles and Click It or Ticket. His video and photography work have been viewed on news stations across Texas, Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC as well as nationally and internationally on CNN, Fox News and Voice of America. In addition to pre-produced projects and events, Josh shoots annually as many as 15 – 20 live events for his clients.
